Start time: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 3:34 AM UTC End time: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 9:30 AM UTC Preliminary root cause: A recent change resulted in the component responsible for producing the model selection options in Copilot chat to not function correctly. Next steps: - We're analyzing service telemetry on the affected component to help prevent this problem from happening again. We’ll provide a preliminary Post-Incident Report within two business days and a final Post-Incident Report within five business days.

We've completed deploying the fix to the affected infrastructure, and we've verified in our internal environment that the model selection options have been restored within Copilot chat. We're now contacting affected customers directly to ensure the fix has produced the expected resolution. This quick update is designed to give the latest information on this issue.
