Title: Some users may be unable to see GPT within the model selection options in Microsoft 365 Copilot chat
User impact: Users may be unable to see GPT within the model selection options in Copilot chat.
Final status: The investigation is complete and we've determined that a service incident didn't actually occur. The expected behavior is that GPT models will not appear in the model selector if disabled in the admin center. However, there was a previous code issue that allowed for these models to still appear in the user interface (UI) even when disabled in the admin center. That code issue was addressed, resulting in this return to the expected behavior. Follow this link for details on how to disable or enable models through the admin center: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/copilot/openai-subprocessor. This communication will expire in 24 hours.
This is the final update for the event.
