More info: This issue affected export to CSV operations, such as exporting Active Users, Group Memberships, and Role Assignments. Admins encountered an error that stated, "We were sorry, something went wrong. Please try refreshing the page in a few minutes." Final status: We've confirmed that the fix deployment has completed sooner than anticipated and have confirmed that it has resolved the event through service health telemetry. Scope of impact: This issue affected admins performing export operations of large CSVs from the Microsoft 365 admin center. Start time: Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 12:00 AM UTC End time: Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 3:00 AM UTC Root cause: A recent update to the CSV export pipeline introduced an error that resulted in large CSV exports potentially failing under certain conditions. Admins encounter an error that states, "We are sorry, something went wrong. Please try refreshing the page in a few minutes." Current status: We've identified a recent update to the CSV export pipeline has introduced an error that's resulting in large CSV exports potentially failing under certain conditions. We've developed a fix to restore the previous behavior used by the export controller and validated it resolves the failures. We've scheduled the fix for deployment and anticipate it will resolve the issue by Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Scope of impact: This issue affects admins performing export operations of large CSVs from the Microsoft 365 admin center.
