Title: Admins may not see data in multiple tabs within the Microsoft 365 apps admin center User impact: Admins may not have seen data in multiple tabs within the Microsoft 365 apps admin center. More info: Admins may not have seen data in the following locations in the Microsoft 365 apps admin center: - Home page - Cloud update - Inventory - Security Update Status Admins may have received an error message stating, “There was a problem retrieving data for this page. Please refresh the page or try again later.” Final status: After further monitoring of service telemetry, we've validated that our deployment to reinstate the removed Inventory apps and Shared Apps successfully remediated impact. Scope of impact: Some admins may not have seen data in the Home page, Cloud update, Inventory, or Security update status sections in the Microsoft 365 apps admin center. Start time: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM UTC End time: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 8:13 PM UTC Root cause: A recent deployment to optimize Microsoft 365 apps service infrastructure incorrectly removed the Inventory apps and Shared Apps, resulting in impact. Next steps: - We're analyzing the offending deployment to isolate why the potential for impact wasn't caught prior to implementation. This further analysis will help us to ensure similar impact scenarios don't occur in the future. This is the final update for the event.

Please refresh the page or try again later.” Current status: After further analysis, we've isolated that impact was caused by a recent deployment to optimize Microsoft 365 apps service infrastructure that incorrectly removed the Inventory apps and Shared Apps, resulting in impact. We've added the missing applications back to affected service infrastructure and are monitoring telemetry for remediation. Scope of impact: Some admins may not see data in the Home page, Cloud update, Inventory, or Security update status sections in the Microsoft 365 apps admin center. This section may be updated as the investigation progresses.
