Title: Some users may have experienced intermittent failures with sensitivity-labeled items in Microsoft Fabric
User impact: Users may have experienced intermittent failures with sensitivity-labeled items in Microsoft Fabric.
More info: Affected scenarios may have included exporting or publishing items with sensitivity labels applied, as well as setting or removing sensitivity labels.
As a workaround, affected users could refresh and retry the operation.
Final status: We’ve determined that a section of infrastructure that facilitates requests for Azure Rights Management services was performing below acceptable performance thresholds, resulting in impact. To mitigate the impact, we redirected traffic to healthy infrastructure and scaled out capacity. Following a period of service monitoring, we’ve confirmed that these actions successfully resolved the issue.
Scope of impact: Some users attempting to set or remove sensitivity labels in Microsoft Fabric, or export or publish items with sensitivity labels, may have been impacted.

Root cause: A section of infrastructure that facilitates requests for Azure Rights Management services was performing below acceptable performance thresholds, resulting in impact.
Next steps:
- We'll continue to closely monitor the affected environment to ensure the service remains healthy, and we'll review our service resilience processes to help us reduce or avoid similar issues in the future.
