The mobile notes control introduces a unified, mobile-first experience for creating and consuming notes directly within entity forms. Makers add this Power Apps component framework control to a form to replace the default note experience with a streamlined interface that supports:

In-form note creation with text, images, and videos.

Rich note consumption with optimized rendering for media and text.

Clean, touch-friendly layout designed for fast interaction in field conditions.

Notes created using this control are written to annotations for the related record. The control provides an enhanced viewing experience with rich previews and improved readability. It renders note-type activities only; other activity types do not appear in this view.

This control is available for mobile use only and doesn't change the web experience.

How to use

In Power Apps, open the table form where you want to enable notes.

Add the mobile notes control to the desired section of the form.

Configure the control to show the capture experience, the consumption experience, or both.

Save and publish the form.

The mobile app shows the new experience after the next sync.

Enablement and scope

This is a UI-level framework control applied per form and is optimized for mobile. No feature flags are required. To revert, remove the control from the form and republish.

Business Value:

If you manage field service teams, every minute your technicians spend switching between tools or digging through cluttered notes is time they're not completing jobs. With a mobile-optimized notes experience, frontline workers can quickly capture rich updates, including text, images, and video, and immediately access them in a clean, easy-to-scan format.

This reduces task interruptions, improves documentation quality, and helps technicians find the right information faster on-site. The result is faster task completion, fewer return visits caused by missing details, and a more productive frontline workforce.

Enabled for:

Enabled by admins/makers/marketers for end users
