This message is associated with Roadmap ID 564970.

[Rollout Schedule:]

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): Rollout begins in early July 2026 and is expected to complete by early September 2026.

[Impact on Your Organization:]

Who is affected: All users who view PDF attachments in Outlook for iOS.

Platforms/Services:

  • Outlook for iOS (mobile)
  • PDF attachment preview

What will happen:

  • Users can preview MIP-labeled (protected) PDF files directly in Outlook for iOS.
  • A controls toolbar appears at the bottom of the PDF preview, enabling:
    • Zoom in and out
    • Page navigation
    • Keyword search within the PDF
  • The Open in Copilot button has moved to the More (…) menu in the upper-right corner.
  • The feature is enabled by default.

[Action Required / Recommendations:]

  • No action is required. This feature is enabled automatically.
